Meet the face behind the hair

Hey there, I’m Rachel Dunn! I’m originally from Chester Springs, Pennsylvania and am now serving our Chester and Delaware County community.

When I was a little girl, my mom would take me to makeup counters. She loved going to Bare Minerals, and I remember being envious of the women who got to work with people and makeup all day. Sometimes I would sneak into her beauty cabinet, put on the new blush and eyeshadows she got, put my hair in rollers, and throw on a princess dress. I absolutely loved the feeling of pampering myself, even from a young age.

I started dancing when I was three and haven’t stopped. My love for hair and makeup came when my dance peers asked me to help them before upcoming shows. The thrill of applying makeup, doing an up-do, or a nice slicked-back bun brought me so much joy, but I never thought I could make a career out of it.

I went to college at Rowan University in 2018 and graduated with two degrees: dance and advertising. By May of 2022, I was a fresh graduate that still had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. After a year and a half in corporate America, behind a desk and computer screen in center-city Philadelphia, I was at a crossroads. I chose to walk away and do something I never thought I would do. At 23 years old, I went to cosmetology school!

I am now working towards my license by studying, educating myself as much as possible, and finally playing with hair again. I am right where I need to be! I specialize in precision cuts, root touch-ups, hair coloring, and developing a lower-maintenance blonde for any woman. I also have developed a special skillset with up-dos and would love to work with any bride.

When you're in my chair, you can expect a luxurious experience. I strive to meet your hair goals, and under the supervision of my well-versed teachers; you will surely be taken care of with the utmost attention to detail.

My boyfriend and I are high school sweethearts.

I began dancing at the age of three, and it remains a passion of mine to this day.

In 2020, I got my sailing license and in 2022 I bought my first sailboat.
